Bluegrass Waste Alliance Transfer Station
The Bluegrass Waste Alliance
Transfer Station, is located at 1505 Old Frankfort Pike. The operating hours of
the transfer station are:
Monday-Friday 6 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturdays 6 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Bluegrass Waste Alliance is a Public - Private Partnership between the Lexington-Fayette
Urban County Government and Republic Services, Inc. If you have any questions

Gate rate $45.00 per ton
Minimum charge $24
Car tires (on or off rim) $6.75 each

Appliances with refrigerants $75 each
Automobile gas tanks $60 each
Truck gas tanks $65 each

20 lb. Gas grill tanks $24 each
Bagged trash $1.25 each
All rates are subject to the Kentucky Environmental
Remediation fee of $1.75 per ton and fuel surcharges.
Haley Pike Construction & Demolition Landfill
If you need a place to dispose of certain types of items after your home and yard spring
cleanup, don't forget about the construction demolition debris landfill at 4172 Hedger Lane.
The Urban County Government continues to operate the 35 acre landfill, which is open:
Monday - Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 5 p.m.
(Waste will not be accepted after 4:30 p.m.)
Saturday, 7:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
(Waste will not be accepted after 12:30 p.m.)
The landfill accepts bricks, concrete, all yard waste, furniture, roofing shingles,
metals, paper products, insulation and wood. Liquids, hazardous materials, garbage and
whole trees are not accepted. The cost for disposal is $28 per ton plus a state environmental fee of $1.75 per ton. The charge for disposal of brush is $4.25 per cubic yard.
A citizens' Convenience Center at the landfill is also available for dumping residential
garbage for households that do not have the Division of Solid Waste collection service. The
cost is 50 cents per bag. The center is open the same hours as the landfill. For

Tree Trunks and Other Yard Debris
How can I dispose of it? Residents of Fayette County may take two pickup-truck loads FREE
each month to LFUCG’s composting site located at the construction demolition debris landfill
at 3489 Haley Pike. Businesses disposing of yard waste will be charged $4.25 per cubic yard.
