Dear Citizen,

The first nine months of 2007 have been challenging and rewarding, and the Council and I want to thank you for the many contributions you have made, as we work together to improve our city.

Citizens should have a way to measure the progress of the work the city is doing, and that’s why we have established this Progress Report. Many of these goals were part of my campaign platform; others have been added since the Administration began. The Progress Report will be a regular part of our web page.

As you look through this report you will notice that there are many areas where we’re just getting started, or haven’t started at all. That’s no surprise … it’s early in the Administration. But as we move into this process, we will regularly evaluate our performance.

We hope you will keep regular tabs on our progress through this report. Let us know how you think we’re doing, and your ideas for other projects -- we want to hear from you! Email the Mayor
