This Week in Lexington's Parks

Join us for our adult beginning and advanced pottery classes! Beginning students will have the opportunity to learn basic pottery skills while advanced students will improve on these skills. Beginning classes will take place on Tuesday evenings beginning Tuesday, October 7. Advanced classes will take place on Thursday evenings beginning October 9. The cost is $60 per participant for the ten week series. Register on the first day of class. All classes will take place from 6:30 – 9 pm at the Tates Creek Recreation Center. Pack your brown bag dinner and join us at 6:30 pm on Thursday, October 9, at McConnell Springs for the final “History to Chew On” series. This month’s topic is “Back to the Future with Water” and will feature Dr. John Kiefer who is the Kentucky Assistant State Geologist. The event is free but registration is requested as seating is limited. Soft drinks and water will be provided. For more information or to register, call McConnell Springs at 225-4073.
