Special Events:
Kiddie Kapers
Dance Company
Kiddie Kapers is an arts enrichment program focusing on dance instruction for youth ranging in age from 3–15 years old. There are three types of classes to choose from—ballet; general dance which is a mixture of the more traditional forms of dance including tap, jazz and ballet; and finally cheer dance which is an upbeat fusion of hip hop and dance team music and movements. All of the classes are divided up by age and experience and consist of preschool, beginning, intermediate and advanced levels.
The classes take place in several convenient locations around Lexington over a 24–week period from September to April. Classes will culminate in a spring recital production at the Lexington Opera House. The fee is $175 and includes the student’s recital costume. There are a limited number of scholarships available.
