Athletics/Adult Softball
The Adult Softball League is offered in the spring and fall. Spring softball begins in April and ends in July. All Parks and Recreation leagues are sanctioned with the National Softball Association.
Spring Leagues:
Men’s Independent, Major, Industrial & Church Leagues
Women’s Independent & Church Leagues
Coed Competitive & Recreational and Church Leagues
Registration:
Registration is limited to teams and spots are based on a first-come, first-served basis. Managers of teams may call the Athletics Office at 288-2920 to request a registration form. Registration will take place February 4 – 29.
- Priority registration for teams returning from the spring 2007 leagues will take place February 4 – 15.
- Teams returning from the fall 2007 leagues may register February 19 – 22.
- Any new or any returning teams may register February 25 – 29.
Team Fee: $325 (payable to Parks and Recreation by check or money order - no cash) 2008 Team Sanction Fee: $25 (payable to National Softball Association by check or money order - no cash)
Fall Softball
Fall softball begins in late August and ends in early November. Leagues offered in the spring are also offered in the fall. All fall leagues play a seven-game schedule but there is not a post-season tournament.
Registration:
- Teams returning from 2007 fall leagues may register July 7 – 11.
- Teams returning from 2007 spring leagues may register July 14 – 18.
- Any new or returning teams may register July 21 – 25.
Team Fee: $255 (payable to Parks and Recreation by check or money order - no cash) 2008 Team Sanction Fee: $25 (payable to National Softball Association by check or money order - no cash)
