Battalion CHief Jim Branham is the Fire Marshal
Assistant Chief James A. Branham commands the Fire
Prevention Bureau as Lexington-Fayette County's Fire Marshal.

The Fire Prevention Bureau is committed to saving lives and preserving property through fire prevention and education. That includes reasonable plan review, fire and lifesafety code enforcement, educational efforts, and the aggressive, professional investigation and prosecution of incendiary fires. We want to first prevent, then identify and correct fire hazards before they threaten life and property. Please email me with any questions. We're available whenever you need us.
