Information Related to the New Water Treatment Plant proposed by Kentucky-American
The LFUCG is involved in a proceeding before the Public Service Commission (Case No. 2007-00134) related to a proposal by Kentucky-American Water Company to build a new treatment plant at Pool 3 on the Kentucky River at a cost of approximately $160 million. The new facilities will provide up to 20 million gallons a day of treated water. A transcript of the public hearing is available below, along with a report by the expert witness for the Attorney General comparing this proposal to a competing plan offered by the Louisville Water Company.
