Traffic signals: More than 345 intersections in Fayette County are controlled by the traffic signal system managed by Traffic Engineering. Call to report a problem, such as a bulb out in a traffic signal or pedestrian cross-walk light. Please provide names of both streets.
Speed humps: The Neighborhood Traffic Management Program section of Traffic Engineering can evaluate your street for traffic calming devices such as speed humps or new traffic signs.
Work site cleanup: Crews from Traffic Engineering are always adding new intersections to the fiber optic network and repairing old traffic signals. If you notice a Traffic Engineering work site that has not been thoroughly cleaned up, call to report it.
New street lights: If you live on an older street without streetlights, call LexCall to request an LFUCG petition for you to circulate on your street to determine if the majority of your neighbors are interested in adding that urban service. If you live on a new street, call Traffic Engineering at 258-3830 to find out the streetlight installation schedule for your area.
Street light replacement bulbs: Contact your local electric utility for replacement bulbs. If your electrical service is provided by Kentucky Utilities Company, call 800-981-0600. If the street light is in the area served by Blue Grass Energy, call 885-4191.
Yellow curbing: Parking near driveways, fire hydrants, and pedestrian crosswalks is restricted. If parked vehicles commonly block your driveway or street, call 258-3830 to request an evaluation.
Crosstown Traffic: Get the latest information about traffic incidents or other problems that may affect your daily commute. Traffic information is presented on GTV3 (Channel 3) on the Crosstown Traffic show each weekday morning from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Call 258-3611 for a quick rundown of significant traffic conditions from the Traffic Hotline.
