"Have you heard ...?"
Chances are, if it involves the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, we have. In fact, chances are pretty good we are the ones that
got that message out in the first place. Telling the media and citizens what the government is doing and answering questions about its
services, is our job -- part of it, at least.
The Division of Government Communications prepares and distributes information in a variety of ways to the media and to citizens
directly. We broadcast government meetings and informational shows on GTV3. We assist citizens by answering questions through our LexCall
operation. And now, we are responsibile for sharing information via the government's website.
Keeping the public informed is important work. Some say it's the cornerstone of Democracy. All of us in Government Communications take the
responsibility of keeping you informed seriously. See, while we are employees of the Division, we are also citizens.
