Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee
The BPAC is a formal subcommittee of the Lexington Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO). The BPAC is made up of a combination of citizens and Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government staff. Its mission is to be proactive in the promotion, development, and maintenance of bicycle and pedestrian facilities in Fayette and Jessamine counties. Advisory Committee Meeting Schedule:
BPAC meetings are held the first Friday of each month at 12:00 p.m. in the 5th Floor Conference Room of the Government Building at 200 E. Main St. unless otherwise indicated.

Town Branch Trail, Inc.
The Town Branch Trail is a proposed system of linear pedestrian and bicycle trails and greenspace that is designed to become a major component of the city/county greenway system. The trail will begin in downtown Lexington and follow the Town Branch as closely as possible as it flows west. Parallel and tributary trails are under consideration as a means of linking the trail system where possible to nearby neighborhoods. Learn More

Bluegrass Cycling Club
The Bluegrass Cycling Club promotes all forms of cycling in central Kentucky - for transportation, for recreation, and for racing both on and off-road. The BCC organizes recreational rides on weekends. Each ride is rated to help riders select rides that will be most suitable for them. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult and helmets are required for all riders. Learn More

Kentucky Rails to Trails Council
The KRTC's mission is to enhance the quality of life in our communities by developing a statewide rail-trail program. KRTC works with local organizations to develop greenways and trails and is a source of information on project funding, design and management. KRTC also seeks to increase public awareness of the benefits of rail-trails and works closely with the National Rails to Trails Conservancy. Learn More

Bluegrass Rails to Trails Foundation
The BRTF is a not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to promote the development of the Lexington-Big Sandy Rail Trail through Fayette, Clark, and Montgomery counties.

Sierra Club, Cumberland Chapter
Offers a wide variety of outings involving bicycling, walking and hiking in urban, rural and forested areas around Kentucky and southern Indiana.
