‘Why living in the Horse Capital of the World is important to me’ essay contest winners
The office of Lexington Mayor Teresa Ann Isaac has announced the winners of the “Why living in the Horse Capital of the World is important to me” essay contest. The contest, open to Fayette County school children, has three winners each in the Elementary, Middle and High school categories.
The 250-word essays were judged by local leaders in the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government, the Thoroughbred and agricultural industries. Tomorrow (Tuesday, Dec. 20), the essays will be placed online at the Urban County Government website.
The winners of the essay contest will be honored at a ballroom reception at the Government Center, 200 E. Main St., Lexington, at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20.
