Recruiting Guidelines...
The process of becoming a Recruit Firefighter is a well-established routine based on federal, state and local laws, ordinances and policies. The following general guidelines will help you understand whether you might be a qualified candidate for employment with the Division of Fire & Emergency Services.
  • You must have a High School diploma or G.E.D. Certificate.

  • You must be 21 years of age by the application filing deadline date.

  • You must have a valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
If you meet these general criteria, you may ask the Division of Human Resources at 200 East Main Street for a Position Interest Form, or call them at 859-258-3051
