Clays Mill Road Scoping Study

Introduction:

The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government (LFUCG) has retained CDP Engineers as a consultant to conduct an engineering design study for Clays Mill Road. This roadway corridor has experienced significant changes in recent years, leading to increases in traffic volumes. New subdivisions in southern Fayette County and northern Jessamine County have increased the use of Clays Mill Road as a commuter route. The development of the NDC property on Reynolds Road and related roadway network changes has changed traffic patterns. The purpose of the Clays Mill Road Scoping Study is to evaluate current and future traffic demands, assess conditions along the roadway, and develop alternatives with recommendations to alleviate congestion along the corridor.
